Carmen Holdsworth-Delgado enlightened 60 plus attendees to the Sime Gallery Annual Chris Ewbank Memorial lecture with an interesting and informative talk about the actor/ actresses and theatre managers of the Victorian/Edwardian era. This was held in St Mary’s Church Worplesdon. Sime drew those many stars of the era she spoke about for The Pick Me Up magazine under the weekly article Through the Opera Glass between 1896-1898 he did roughly 394 theatrical caricatures as well as for the Tatler magazine in the early 1900s. The Sime Gallery have 213 original artworks.
