National Volunteers’ Week

The Sime Gallery has had brilliant volunteers for many years. 1st to 7th June is Volunteers’ Week, so what better way to show our appreciation.

Volunteering is a great way to give back to your local community.  Our volunteers are not all local to Worplesdon. However each and everyone gives so much to the Sime Gallery whether it’s advise, professional expertise, being an enthusiastic guide to tell visitors about Sime work, making cups of tea or cakes, small jobs, planting up planters, researching, transcribing letters, advertising events, giving talks.

We have the most dedicated volunteers who are not only thanked on national volunteer week 1-7 June but everyone who does anything is valued for their commitment and enthusiasm. Our longest serving volunteer has been with us since opening in 1956 and will always be an asset to the Sime Gallery.
