- THE GALLERY IS NOW OPEN FROM WEDNESDAY 4TH FEBRUARY
Thank you for your interest in visiting Surrey’s hidden artistic gem, our inspirational, unique gallery dedicated to the life work of masterful illustrator and artist Sidney Sime. For more information about the Sime Gallery, click the link below.
Our volunteers look forward to seeing you.
The Sime Gallery is open weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays from 2–4pm (14.00-16.00). During August, we are able to open the Gallery for more dates and times. Please get in touch for more information.
Admission is free but as the Sime Gallery receives no regular funding, we would be very grateful if you would consider a £5 donation.
There is no need to book but if you would like to let us know you are coming, please:
A small range of items are available to purchase. Drinks and cakes/biscuits are also available from our Tea Room.
The Sime Gallery closes each December and January, except by appointment. It re-opens in February.
The Sime Gallery hosts group visits and offers talks relating to the Gallery, its collection and the life of Sidney Sime. These are ideal for groups such as the WI, U3A, local history societies and civic groups. These talks help promote our gallery and the fascinating work of Sidney Herbert Sime. We charge a competitive rate with all money made going back into the Gallery.
We can present at your group or society’s meeting place or arrange to give talks at the museum as part of a group visit.
Group visits are welcomed and can be tailored to the needs of each party, providing visitors with choice. Group visits must be pre-booked to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, and to protect the artwork and objects on display.
Click through to our Group Visits and Talks page for the available options and to book.
Regrettably, the Gallery is not accessible for wheelchair users – there are handrails on the stairs and there is an accessible toilet downstairs. We are able to bring smaller artworks and works on paper downstairs for people to view.
Our Tea Room, which offers tea/coffee and delicious cakes, is situated on the ground floor.
